The answers you give in the application: where you are now, what you’d like next, what you can help with, what you need, your availability and time zone, your name, your email, any links you choose to add, and the time you acknowledged this policy.

We don’t store your IP address in our applications database. To slow down abuse, the server briefly keeps an anonymised, in-memory counter of recent attempts, which is never written anywhere.

• To review your application to the Founding Builders beta.
• To send you one confirmation email when you apply.
• To make introductions to other members, which means sharing relevant answers with the people you’re introduced to.
• To contact you about the beta and about introductions relevant to your application.

We don’t sell your data, we don’t use it for advertising, and applying doesn’t sign you up to any newsletter or marketing. If we ever start sending community updates, you’ll be asked separately and explicitly.

Applications are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, which processes the data only on our behalf. Your confirmation email is sent through Resend, our email provider, which receives your name and email address to deliver it.

Sommes is hosted on Vercel, and Vercel may process standard request and log information, such as IP addresses, as part of providing the hosting service.

Inside the browser, unfinished answers (never your name, email or links) are kept in session storage so a refresh doesn’t lose them; they disappear when you close the tab.

We keep your application for as long as we need it to run the beta. You can ask to see, correct or delete your application data at any time by emailing hello@wearesommes.com, and we’ll take care of it.
